A quality basic education is something which every child should get regardless of their family background and community. Unfortunately, some parts of Africa are plagued by wars, economic crises, poverty and malnutrition. This limits access to an education which is one of the only opportunities young people have to end the vicious cycle of poverty and attain a better quality of life than previous generations. In this context, our CSR strategy is geared towards promoting education and literacy in under-privileged regions in Africa. This is our small contribution to the global education agenda (Education 2030) which is part of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), that make up the Agenda 2030 for sustainable development.

To date, South Suez Charitable Trust has contributed to various educational projects in Africa.
